The JapaYantra helps users to use iPhone as a substitute for Japa mala or the string used for Japa or meditation. You can now use the App to keep count of the Japa or meditation instead of the traditional beads.
Japa is a spiritual discipline involving the meditative repetition of a mantra or name of a divine power.
We have built multiple functions in the app that helps users to achieve their Japa goals in multiple ways. The app is designed to help you focus on your Japa or meditation even with your eyes closed and not be distracted operating the app. The app gives you feedback via vibration every time you touch the advance(+) button.
There are four ways to perform your Japa or meditation
- Just start - perform your Japa or meditate.
- Set a time goal for your Japa and the app alerts you on completing your goal.
- Set a count goal for your Japa and the app alerts you on completing your goal.
- The coolest feature is the “Auto” mode. Here you can pick an audio track from your iTunes library or record your own. Set the number of times the audio track needs to repeat. The app will then play back the audio in a loop for number of times you have set the count for. A great way to learn & meditate simultaneously.
The App works in land scape orientation also- Set the goal and turn your iPhone in landscape orientation & continue.
